This artistic project draws its starting point from the literal meaning of the Greek word skiagraphy – the ancient painting technique of chiaroscuro, namely, the writing/inscription/design (graphìa) of shadow (skià).
The aim is to question the very nature of jewel as object and ornament, and in fact of object itself. Indeed, through the transient indistinctness of object and shadow, the video reflects the falling and collapsing times we are experiencing, in favour, I hope, of a new emerging becoming-other.
