My jewels are particularly light, and this quality is essential to me. My latest work is a series of balloons inflated with helium; I am inspired by how this material escapes the seabed, returns to the surfaces and flies in the air like a bubble. But where will the clusters of all those plastic balloons that we release, fall and die...
Does our happiness always has to be at the expense of other forms of life? For some time, seeing balloons being released made me feel gloomy.
