If our civilization perishes, or dies in a nuclear accident or war, how will it reemerge?
This year's SMCK On Reel festival title "Civilization Rebooted" addresses the most crucial issues of our times such as war, poverty, climate change, environmental pollution, totalitarianism and censorship on the one hand, and recycling, renaissance, new values and social engagement and new aesthetics on the other.
In cooperation with Assamblage Association (ROJW), SMCK On Reel presents video narratives, fiction and insight, of more than thirty artists, designers, crafters, curators, fashion experts, gallerists and art professionals at Romanian Jewelry Week's special editions in Timișoara - European Capital of Culture 2023, Chisinau and Bucharest.

Reels - the art of the moving image - unfold the artist's narrative and allow the public to better understand the maker's background, work and message. Reels and storytelling are particularly important for highlighting the meaning and cultural significance of the featured objects.
